Chris Hall has been working for Talking Rain Beverage Company for more than a decade and currently takes his seat as the Chief Executive Officer. In a short period, Hall has helped grow Talking Rain’s most popular beverage, Sparkling Ice, to be one of the best-selling in the country.
Before he ever got on board with Sparkling Ice and Talking Rain, Chris was a part of the hospitality industry in addition to being a submariner in the United States Navy. His experience with the hospitality industry and the Navy led him to be more equipped to strive for greatness with everything he does.
Chris received his B.S. in Business at Central Washington University.
Chris Hall’s Rise Through Talking Rain Chain of Command
Chris Hall was hired as an HR assistant when he became a part of Talking Rain back in 2007, and over time, he settled into sales and marketing, specifically with schools and trade. He soon took his place as Midwest Market Manager and Midwest and Northeast Regional Sales Manager in 2009. Sparkling Ice began to take flight, and Chris transitioned to Director of Sales for the Midwest and Northeast during which he gained Kroger’s business.
As VP of Sales in the Midwest and Northeast, Chris Hall reached 100% distribution. He expanded his name to VP of Sales as a supervisor for the DSD and retail sections of the company in 2014. Hall became overseer for Sales and Supply Chain Operations when he claimed the Chief Operating Officer of Talking Rain. It was in the middle of 2018 that Chris Hall was catapulted to Chief Executive Officer. As the CEO, Hall immediately took the company in a more productive and effective direction, more specifically pushing the company to send out 15 million cases of the beverage Sparkling Ice in three months.
Chris Hall Makes His Day Productive
A typical day for Talking Rain’s CEO starts at 4:30 am with a good workout at home. He departs at 5:30 am to reach the office around 6. With specifically fewer meetings on the books in the morning, Hall’s first few hours of work are very productive and involve time for market research and one-on-one meetings with prominent executives. Lunchtime is also a time to connect with other teammates who might have questions that need answering or specific ideas they want to pitch directly to the head honcho, himself.
Once Hall has finished up with everything at the Talking Rain offices, he is usually able to depart the office between 5 and 6 pm. In the evening, it’s either business engagements or time with the family where you will most likely find him out in the backyard in front of the grill cooking up an exciting dinner for those he loves.
Chris Hall Takes Strategic Risks that Pay Off
In 2018, Talking Rain transitioned from a traditional media landscape to 100% full digital marketing and media. Using new marketing avenues like social media, digital ad banners, video, podcast, and pre-roll, Talking Rain puts a spotlight on Sparkling Ice’s variety, colors, and zero sugar messaging tying in the naturally sourced colors and flavors idea at the same time. Digital marketing allows Talking rain to target their market more specifically and engage consumers while shifting our communications and creative efficiently and effectively, as needed.

Besides being an obvious risk-taker, Chris Hall bases all his moves on good, old-fashioned market research. At Talking Rain, Chris brings this awareness of the market to the forefront for all of his colleagues. This allows him to take risks that have a greater ability to pay off in the long run.
