Providing a Keen Perspective for and a Deep Investment in Modern Hollywood
Most famous people are really good at one thing, and then, there are a few who excel at several talents. Robert Gillings is one of the Hollywood standouts who has graced the industry with integrity, intelligence, and creativity. He has also served as a valuable consultant to those men and women trying to obtain a secure fitting in the extremely competitive world of show business.
Gripping New Plot
The award-winning writer, producer, and actor has been busy fine-tuning his upcoming TV series “Paper Empire.” He’s excited about the program currently being shot in Miami because it includes a seasoned cast and a crime drama that involves the sexy, greedy world of high finance. Robert Gillings is also the show’s creator and director.
Former Bond beauty and cast member of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Denise Richards, has joined the cast of “Paper Empire.” She stars alongside actors Robert Davi, Wesley Snipes, Steve Guttenberg, Helena Mattsson, Robert Knepper, Anne Archer, Michael Nouri, Elisabetta Fantone and Chuck Zito.
New York City Roots
Robert Gillings, a father of three, was born and raised in New York City and feels a very strong bond with the Empire State and the exciting speed of N.Y.C. His film, “The Kings of Brooklyn” (2004), is a fine example of his brilliance both as an actor and producer. The movie took home an award for Best Picture by the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival and an Audience Award by the Brooklyn Film Festival/New York.
“The Kings of Brooklyn” follows the lives of three childhood buddies raised on the tough streets of the borough who go to work on Wall Street for a better life. The movie vividly captures the thirst for money, status, ambition and the greed that ensues.
Gillings was also one of a few notable artists to enter his architectural design in the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in the city he loves so dearly. The contest was established to pay tribute to the victims of the February 23, 1993, and September 11, 2001, terror attacks.
His piece was celebrated for the moving spirit it captured of the former World Trade Center. The design artwork was featured on the national stage and viewed by thousands as it was displayed in art galleries across New York.
Robert Gillings‘s American Fright Fest (2018) is quickly earning status as a cult favorite. He wrote the screenplay for horror fans who love the slasher style moments of the 80s and early 90s. The film takes place in small-town America at an old abandoned state-run asylum. The plot surrounds a live Fright Fest hosted at the former institution where murders start to erupt, bringing the old asylum back to life.
The movie stars Dylan Walsh, Madison McKinley, Romeo Miller, and Mercy Malick.
Robert Gillings Wears his Heart…
“My Darling (2017-) is a project that Robert Gillings continues to refine and imbue with substance regarding his stormy divorce and his defense against false accusations of domestic violence by his then-wife. The two-year custody battle was eventually won by Gillings who now has sole custody of his three children. Tadross Media Group is partnering with Gillings in production.
“My Darling” includes a screenplay and book about the exhausting 10-year divorce proceedings that changed Gillings’s life. When asked about his victory in court, he quietly remarked that “There are no winners in divorce.”
Robert Gillings is always writing, directing and showing the world a new perspective on life. He has the sensitive and compassionate eye of a true artist, something this world needs more of.
